King of Croft: Fensport GR Yaris with X Shift Gearbox Take the Sprint Crown

Adrian Smith and the Fensport GR Yaris claimed 1st Overall at Croft with a blistering 1:23.77 ✔️ Powered by an X Shift sequential gearbox ✔️

Some victories tell a bigger story than just crossing the line first. At Croft Circuit, Adrian Smith and the Fensport GR Yaris delivered exactly that — taking 1st Overall in both the Toyota Sprint Series and Javelin Sprint Series with the help of an X Shift sequential gearbox.

The Results Speak for Themselves

Against fierce competition, Adrian and the GR Yaris rose to the top:

1st Adrian Smith – Toyota GR Yaris – 1:23.77

2nd Jonny Chambers – Mitsubishi Evo – 1:24.50

3rd James Warburton – Subaru Impreza – 1:29.91

Adrian’s best time of 1:23.77 put him clear of Chamber’s Evo and Warburton’s Impreza, underlining just how effective the package was. In sprint racing, every fraction counts — and those fractions came not only from excellent driving, of course, but also from precise shifting when it mattered most. From years of hard-fought competition to the top step at Croft, Fensport’s latest triumph shows what happens when skill, preparation, and X Shift engineering come together.

A Statement for UK Motorsport

Croft’s technical mix of fast straights and demanding corners tests cars for balance and drivability. The Fensport GR Yaris didn’t just compete, it set the benchmark. Winning and leading the class championship  against tuned Evos and Imprezas truly proves the GR Yaris’ capability.

For us at X Shift Gearboxes, seeing our engineering trusted at the sharp end of UK sprint racing is exactly what we build for. Fast, durable, race-proven — that’s what it means to run X Shift.
