Specification

This DOGBOX for original Subaru STi gearboxes is a complete kit with straight teeth and unique dogbox engagement system. Compared to the older H-pattern version, the gearbox offers a dramatic increase in stiffness of the entire shifting system, significantly improving shifting reliability and accuracy. Upgraded version utilizes a revised shifting mechanism based on the +PLUS version, with stronger dog rings with modified dog geometry that ensures a perfect gear-to-shaft connection. Kit has unique 17° helical gearing, achieving approximately 40-50 % noise reduction compared to the straight cut versions +PLUS and R4 PRO.

The kit is designed to fit into the OEM case without major modifications. Rebuild at X Shift Gearboxes is possible and includes overall inspection of the gearbox, renovation of casings, adjusting bearing backlash, complete installation and assembly.
