Armageddon Mode: One Seriously Fast Mitsubishi EVO
Mitsubishi EVO Runs 5.6 Seconds in Paraguay | X Shift Gearboxes✔️ Despite running on only three cylinders, this Mitsubishi EVO recorded a 5.6-second 1/8-mile pass at 203 km/h and is now targeting the Paraguayan record.✔️
The X Shift Mitsubishi EVO sequential gearbox continues to prove itself on drag strips around the world—this time in Paraguay, where an incredibly quick EVO has already shown impressive potential during its latest 1/8-mile outing.
Built and tuned by Bob Racing Paraguay and equipped with an X Shift Mitsubishi EVO sequential gearbox supplied through our official Paraguayan dealer DRS Paraguay, the car is clearly built with one goal in mind: breaking records.
During its latest test session, the team initially attempted a run with the car in what they described as "Armageddon mode"—an extremely aggressive engine calibration intended to see what the car was capable of on the local drag strip.
The result?
The available grip simply wasn't enough.
Rather than pushing their luck, the team reduced the boost and completed a clean 1/8-mile pass of 5.6 seconds at 203 km/h (126 mph).
Perhaps even more impressively, the run wasn't completely problem-free. According to the team, the engine was effectively running on only three cylinders, making the achieved performance even more remarkable.
With the issue now identified and scheduled for repair, the team's next objective is clear: to break the Paraguayan national 1/8-mile drag racing record.
We'd like to wish the entire team the very best of luck for their next outing. We can't wait to see what the car is capable of once everything is running at full power.
